Quirky, quaint and cosy for two!

Our much-loved, charming shepherd's hut has most of the things you need for a comfy stay, without too many mod cons either. It appeals to people looking for a taste of rustic yesteryear - immersed enough in the great outdoors to feel connected to mother nature and get a gentle reminder of the wilderness, yet still with the main comforts and conveniences you'd expect nowadays.

With a hot shower, log burner and plenty of warm bedding, there's nothing better than hunkering down and snuggling up if it's cold and wet outside... And then on those barmy summer nights, you can open the windows and feel the cool evening breeze on your face... Tucked away in its own 'secret garden' with a spring water stream passing by, you could even sleep with the door wide-open if you wanted to. You certainly wouldn't be the first visitor to lie back for a bit of a nap, listening to the trickling water...only to nod off in a blissful reverie and wake up the following day! :D

Whether you're escaping the madness for a few days peace on your own, or a couple looking for a secluded romantic getaway with a difference, the Bothy provides both a basecamp for exploring Ceredigion and a haven to kick back and relax.

With this kind of privacy, you can sunbathe or stargaze to your heart's content.

There are cooking options aplenty in the main outdoor kitchen with multi gas hobs, barbecue, chiminea and fire pit - not forgetting the kettle and toaster in the mini kitchenette inside - plus a useful fridge for your supplies. Just don't let the squirrels help themselves while your back's turned!

What our guests like best about the Bothy is that although it's clean, tidy, hygienic, safe and warm...you're literally only inches from the great outdoors and you can really feel it.

A complimentary breakfast hamper with sausages, bacon, free range eggs, baked beans, bread, scones or cake will welcome you on arrival (vegetarian alternatives are also available upon request).

Wifi Internet can be provided to the Bothy if you need it. It's not superfast but is fine for basic use. 4G mobile coverage is patchy depending on your network (Vodafone is best here) so be prepared to be a little 'off-grid' for your stay.
